~v -6- Mayor Leech, Mr. Bennett and other Village officials have received complaints from truck owners who have recently been prohibited from using Wilson Mills Rd. east of SOM Center to through traffic. An ordinance was primarily passed to prohibit the use of large trucks on a narrow winding roadway. The objections are coming from owners of light weight and utility trucks and other vehicles requiring truck license plates. The Mayor and members of Council felt that the problem requires more information. The Mayor and Mr. Bennet will meet with Chief Shortle to discuss the ordinance. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Architectural Review Board - Mr. Barclay read the minutes of the August 13, 1975 meeting. Bi-Centennial - Mrs. Negrelli reported that she has official~,~ approval naming Mayfield Village a Bi-Centennial Community and a flag and certificate will be forwarded. The next committee meeting will be held early in. September. Cemetery - Mrs. Negrelli stated that all is quiet. Codification - Mrs. Negrelli reported that all departments are reviewing section at this time. Finance - Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Prager, made a motion to pass Pay Ordinance 624-P. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Messrs., Prager and Schulte NAYS: .None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed Mr. Bennett. asked if the Pay Ordinance could be distributed to Council at least three days before Council Meeting. Mr. Relic advised the request will be given consideration. Planning & Zoning - Mr. Schulte read the minutes of the August 11, 1975 meeting. It was noted that Phase 1 of the Aintree North Subdivision had been accepted. The installation of proper storm sewers in that area are being reviewed. Recreation - Mr. Ficken felt that the Mayor had done a good job expressing his thanks for the Awards Day. Safety Center - Mrs. Negrelli stated that Safety Service Day was fairly well attended. She has mailed 19 thank you notes. 1
