~-s o~ MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING Village of Mayfield Village August 26, 1975 The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in special session at the Village Hall on Tuesday, August 26, 1975 at 8:00 P.M. pursuant to special meeting notices delivered to all Councilmen on August 25, 1975. Robert Barclay, council president pro-tem presided. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. Roll Call: Present: Mayor Leech, Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bluhm, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte Absent Mr. Prager Also present were . Messrs., Byrnes and Relic Mr. Barclay stated that this meeting had been called by Mayor Leech for the purpose of placing the renewal of the operating levy on the November, 1975 ballot, to consider Ordinance 75-16, Off-Street Parking and any other business that may come before the meeting. Resolution 896, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY TO RENEW BY LEVY A TAX IN EXCESS OF THE 10-MILL LIMITATION", was introduced by Mr. Ficken, seconded by Mr. Schulte. Mr. Relic stated that the last operating levy had been .passed in 1970 for a period of five years for the amount of 2.7 mills in excess of the 10-mill limitation. Discussion followed whether to renew the present operating levy for 2.7 mills or present a new reduced operat- ing levy for 2.0 mills. The majority seemed to favor the continua- tion of the 2.7 mills. Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bluhm, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to adopt Resolution 896.
