~-s <br />o~ <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />August 26, 1975 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in special <br />session at the Village Hall on Tuesday, August 26, 1975 at <br />8:00 P.M. pursuant to special meeting notices delivered to all <br />Councilmen on August 25, 1975. Robert Barclay, council president <br />pro-tem presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mayor Leech, Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, <br />Bluhm, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />Absent Mr. Prager <br />Also present were . Messrs., Byrnes and Relic <br />Mr. Barclay stated that this meeting had been called by Mayor Leech <br />for the purpose of placing the renewal of the operating levy on <br />the November, 1975 ballot, to consider Ordinance 75-16, Off-Street <br />Parking and any other business that may come before the meeting. <br />Resolution 896, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY TO <br />RENEW BY LEVY A TAX IN EXCESS OF THE 10-MILL LIMITATION", was <br />introduced by Mr. Ficken, seconded by Mr. Schulte. <br />Mr. Relic stated that the last operating levy had been .passed in 1970 <br />for a period of five years for the amount of 2.7 mills in excess of <br />the 10-mill limitation. Discussion followed whether to renew the <br />present operating levy for 2.7 mills or present a new reduced operat- <br />ing levy for 2.0 mills. The majority seemed to favor the continua- <br />tion of the 2.7 mills. <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bluhm, Ficken, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to adopt <br />Resolution 896. <br />Roll Ca11: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bluhm, Ficken, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: None ll <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />
