No action taken. <br />Mr. Barclay advised that the report received from the Assessment <br />Equalization Board stated they ~tiTere not in agreement with. the <br />Engineers assessments. A letter has to be sent to a property otmer <br />due to a change in assessments. Relic stated that tax valuation is going up. The increase will <br />give the Village an amount of $28,7£36 more in 1977. The County has <br />recommended a reduction in our millage. NIr. Relic suggested that <br />Council should consider Charter amendment for tax basis. <br />Mr. Hovancsek gave a report on bid openings for the bike path and <br />the Beech Hill Improvement. He also reported: <br />(1) The SOM Center drainage t•aork should be completed by the end <br />of September <br />(2) Aintree North Subdivision - additional sewer work to be completed. <br />(3) Kenwood area resurfacing work started last Friday. + <br />Mr. Busa advised that the Flood Insurance Program has been postponed <br />pending a meeting with Mr. Hovancsek. He also stated that he has <br />received a few calls re the flood lights at Parkview Golf Course <br />facing the oncoming traffic on SOM Center Road. <br />Mayor Beebe replied that the lights have been turned away from SONI <br />Center Road. <br />Mr. Bordonaro suggested that the tax area be studied more thoroughly <br />and also suggested a possible roll back. He recommended the School, <br />Board and County be revaluated. He also stated 'that the pond on <br />Thornapple is a real haven for mosquitos creating a health hazard <br />and c•rondered if the pond could be sprayed. <br />Mayor Beebe replied that this pond was located on private property. <br />
