1 <br />1 <br /> <br />-3- <br />~;~s!I <br />Ordinance 76-23, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SINGLE DISTRICT <br />FLOOD PLAIN TO MINIMIZE FLOOD LOSSES RESULTING FROM PERIODIC INUNDATION" <br />was given third reading. <br />Ordinance 76-2~., entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING REGULATION FOR <br />FLOOD HAZARD AREAS", was given third reading. <br />Ordinance 76-25, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING INSULATION <br />REQUIREMENTS OF STRUCTURES, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 75-25® AND .-_.. <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". <br />Mr. Barclay advised that Council received recommendation from the <br />Board of Appeals for passage. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion~.to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to pass Ordinance 76-25. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Resolution 964, entitled; "AUTHORIZING BIDS FOR TWO-WAY LOYJ BAND POLICE <br />RADIOS AND HARDWARE". No action taken until further discussion can be <br />held between the Mayor and Police Chief. <br />Mr. Bennett asked if Ordinance 76-14 which was tabled earlier, would <br />keep appearing on the Agenda? <br />Mr. Barclay stated yes, so that it would not be forgotten or resolved. <br />At this time, a lengthy discussion followed between Council, Chief <br />Shortle and Mr. Campanella. <br />Mr. Barclay said the majority feel specific description of weight limit, <br />truck size would be more appropriate. The original ordinance now <br />reads "No Trucks". <br />Chief Shortle stated it would be impossible to enforce weight::limits <br />since a weigh station is not available within the required distance. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to pass Ordinance 76-14. <br />Roll Call: AYES9 Messrs., Barclay and Schulte <br />NAYS: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Bordonaro, Flynn and Grogan <br />Ordinance Defeated <br />
