1. •~ I <br />MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />October 26, 1976 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met at the Village <br />Hall on Tuesday, October 26, 1976 at 7:45 P.M. for a Public Hearing. <br />Council President, Robert Barclay presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, <br />Flynn and Schulte <br />Absent Mr. Grogan (came in later) <br />Also present were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Byrnes, <br />Hovancsek and Relic <br />Mr. Barclay stated that this Public Hearing had been scheduled for <br />the purpose of hearing proponents and opponents to Ordinance 76-23 <br />and Ordinance 76-24, as provided by the Charter. <br />Ordinance 76-23, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SINGLE DISTRICT <br />FLOOD PLAIN TO MINIMIZE FLOOD LOSSES RESULTING FROM PERIODIC INUNDATION <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". <br />Ordinance 76-24, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING REGULATION FOR <br />FLOOD HAZARD AREAS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". <br />Mr. Barclay read a letter from Mrs. Mi11s, Chairwoman of the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission, recommending that Ordinance 76-23 & 76-24 be <br />adopted. <br />Steve HovancseY., Village Engineer presented a study of the official <br />zoning map of the Village of Mayfield showing the Regional Flood Plain <br />District. <br />A general discussion followed. <br />Mr. Carl Acker, 6219 S. woodlane Dr. asked if individual homes were <br />indicated on the map? <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied that he would check the address map for him <br />after the meeting. <br />Mr. Relic asked how much acreage do we loose in Floodway Areas (indi- <br />cated in green on the map)? <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied very little, 22 acres, a portion by Whitehaven <br />Cemetery, back end of Racquet Club and Progressive Insurance. <br />Mr. Phil Lazzaro, 286 SOM Center Road asked if the zoning boundaries <br />were being affected? <br />Mr. Hovancsek will prepare a map which includes the addresses on the <br />official Flood Zoning Map and will be available in the Clerk's office <br />for viewing. <br />
