~'~ <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />November 30, 1976 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in special session <br />at the Village Hall on Tuesday, November 30, 1976 at 7:45 P.M., pur- <br />suant to notice given to all Council members on Friday, November 26, <br />1976. Council President, Robert Barclay presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Flynn, <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />Absent Mr. Busa <br />Also present were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Byrnes, <br />Hovancsek and Relic <br />Mr. Barclay stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose <br />of discussing False Arrest Insurance and the Rate Resolution from the <br />County and any other business that may come before Council. <br />Resolution 970, entitled; "A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE AMOUNTS AND <br />RATES AS DETERMINED BY THE BUDGET/APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE AND AUTHORIZED <br />THE NECESSARY TAX LEVIES AND CERTIFYING THEM TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR," <br />was introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Relic gave a brief description of the Resolution and also stated <br />that the County Auditor had estimated our tax rate to be a total of <br />7.70 mills. <br />A lengthy discussion followed. <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to adopt <br />Resolution 970. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Flynn and Schulte <br />NAYS: Mr. Bordonaro and Mr. Grogan <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Mr. Bordonaro and Mr. Grogan stated for the record that theie NAY vote <br />reflected their feeling that the Village millage should be reduced at <br />least .5 mill for the coming year.. This was because of the great <br />increase in the tax valuation on the real estate duplicate for the <br />next year due to revaluation and to new commercial property coming on the <br />tax duplicate for the first time. <br />Resolution 971, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE BID OF <br />LOVE INSURANCE AGENCY IS THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR FALSE ARREST <br />INSURANCE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced by Council as <br />a Whole. <br />
