9° <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />January 24, 1977 ~ " <br />i <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in regular session <br />on Monday, January 24, 1977 at 8:05 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council <br />President, Robert Grogan presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte <br />Absent Messrs., Barclay and Bordonaro <br />1 <br />1 <br />Also present were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Byrnes, Foltz, <br />Hovancsek, Relic, Chief Hejcl and Chief Shortle <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to approve the minutes <br />of the December 20, 1976 Regular Meeting. <br />Roll Call: AYE5: Messrs., Bennett, Busa,.Flynn, Grogan and Schulte <br />NAY5: None <br />MAYOR"'S COMMENTS: <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />The Mayor stated that everyone was aware of the major snow problems <br />and encouraged everyone to clear the snow away from hydrants to try <br />and help out the Fire Department. Also, anyone encountering gas odors <br />in their homes is caused by the catch basins being covered with piles <br />of snow which blocks the fumes from escaping from the catch basins. <br />County and Village crews trying to clear snow away. <br />Mayor Beebe read an article which was in the Press from Gov. Rhodes <br />regarding the :energy crisis and asked that all Villagers try to do <br />their share in helping the crisis. <br />The Mayor advised of a letter he received from the EDA rejecting our <br />proposal for Federal Granting. He said somehow we ended up at the <br />bottom of the totem pole. Both he and Mr. Hovancsek will pursue further. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that a meeting was held with the Public Safety Comm. <br />and Department Heads to discuss budget line items which is subject to <br />further discussion. However, he urged Council to pass the Ordinance <br />tonight pertaining to the purchase of the badly needed salt spreader, <br />appropriated in the budget. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to approve the minutes <br />of the January 3, 1977 Organizational Meeting. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />
