Q -7- Mr. Grogan introduced Ordinance 77-4, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION OF THE LAW DIRECTOR AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY" and suggested it be amended to read "for the period of January 1, 1977 through February 21, 1977 or until a successor is appointed'°. Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to pass Ordinance 77-4 as amended. Roll Call: AYE5: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed Ordinance 77-5, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND FINANCE DIRECTOR TO TAKE COMPETITIVE BIDS WITHOUT ADVERTISING AND. ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SALT SPREADER FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced by Mr. Busa. Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed GENERAL COMMENTS' Mr. Relic suggested after final debate of the Budge t~'Appropriations Committee pertaining to 1977 Budget, that all comments be given to him. He also advised that a memo had been distributed to Council re tax collection showing a deduction of $2.80, Mayfield Village old rate was $63.10 - new rate $60.30 Mr. Relic gave a brief explanation of House Bill 920 as suggested by Mr. Flynn.
