- 7- ~ ~~ <br />pertaining to mutual aid between Mayfield Village and t~Tilloughby <br />Hills. He will sign and return. <br />Mr. Relic advised that the $100,000 note was paid in full on October <br />4, 1977. He also stated that bids were received for the Traffic <br />Signal at S.O.M. & Highland Road, however, no action could be taken <br />at this time since definite approval must be obtained from the State. <br />Mr. Byrnes advised that the Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the <br />Village on October 6, 1977 re.Panzica vs Mayfield Village. Petition <br />was dismissed. <br />NIr. Hovancsek reported that he is still working on plans for resur- <br />facing of ti~ilson Niills east of S.O.M. Also, the installation of a <br />traffic signal on S.O.M. & Highland Roads would be paid out of the <br />$5.00 License Tag Fees, but Village will pay for engineers and in- <br />spection fee. Mr. .Hovancsek said plans should be discussed to make a <br />por tion of.Beech Hill at least passable for safety vehicles. <br />Mr. Barclay replied that other private roads in need of repair are main- <br />tained by residents. He thinks the Village is really extending them- <br />selves. <br />Chief Hejcl announced that the Firefighters Exam will be given on <br />October 20, 1977. There are 25 applicants. <br />dir. Bordonaro thanked Mr. Relic for~._a fine job.he is doing as Finance <br />Director in making the audit by the State successful. He also advised <br />that the Aintree Homeowners Association had a "Candidates Night" to <br />meet prospective candidates for Village Counc il. <br />Mr. Bordonaro asked whether or not gas will now be availab~ from E.O.G. <br />as stated in the newspapers by Spring '78 for phase IT of Aintree North. <br />Mr. Barclay answered that gas should be avialable for Phase II, as in <br />Phase T the variance was granted to build without gas lines. <br />Mr. Bennett expressed a strong feeling to keep Heinen's in this <br />community . <br />Nir. Grogan stated that Council would adjourn to Executive session to <br />discuss litigation and personnel. <br />Br. Busa strongly protested to have to go into Executive Session. <br />itiir. Flynn asked why confirmation of Law Director couldn't be discussed <br />at regular meeting? <br />Council adjurned for Executive Session at 9:55 P.M. <br />Council reconvened at 10:55 P. M. <br />A4r.
