1~0 <br />stated that Chief Shortle had been elected to the Police Chief's <br />Board of Governor's. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />There were no reports from the Committee's except: <br />Council of Council - Mr. Grogan advised election of officers will <br />take place on January 25, 1978 at 8:15 P.M. at the Lyndhurst City <br />Hall. Council is invited to attend. <br />Recreation - A successful Christmas Party was held in December. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Ordinance 77-42; entitled, "AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE SIDE YARD <br />REQUIREMENTS IN A U-1 DISTRICT." <br />Given second reading. <br />9 <br />A Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 20, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Ordinance 78-1, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS <br />FOR THE CURRENT AND OTHER EXPENSES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO F'OR <br />THE YEAR 1978 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced by Coun- <br />cil as a Whole. <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded. by Mrn Boger, made a motion to suspend the ru <br />rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Boger, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and <br />Mrs. Hanus <br />NAYS: None <br />Mota~n Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass Ord. 78-1. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs, Bennett, Boger, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and <br />Mrs. Hanu <br />NAYS : None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Resolution 78-2, entitled; "AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITHTTHE CUY- <br />AHOGA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS RELATIVE TO']HE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT HIGH- <br />LAND ROAD AND SOM CENTER ROAD", was introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Grogan, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separatte <br />
