.~;:. ,
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL
Village of Mayfield
October 16, 1978
The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session on
Monday, October 16, 1978 .at 8:10 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council
President Vince Busa presided.
The Pledge of-Allegiance to the Flag was given.
Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Btlsa, Boger, Bordonaro, Flynn-,
Grogan and Mrs. Hanus.
Absent: None
Also present were: Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Feneli, Foltz,
Chief Hejcl and Acting Chief Litman
OPEN PORTION
Mr. William Pertz, 6150 Robin Circle, said he had talked to the Mayor,
Gus Amendola and many other regarding the building that is taking place
in Pinetree Park at 880 Joyce Road. The res~:dents of Pinetree Park agree
that up to this point what has been done is correct by Ordinance. The
question is at whose pleasure, are the Planning and Zoning rules made.
We would hope that they are made for all residents of the Village, This
situation could happen in any area of the Village. The lot measures
130 x 205' and will be built to its maximum. We realize it is definitely.
within the Ordinance and confinement of the Zoning Regulations. It is
the recommendation of the Pinetree Park residents that an Ordinance on
density in the residential districts be passed as there are such restric-
tions in the industrial a~~,,:^:~mmera~:-ate' ,:var.ea-s..•~- Tk`~±_?~uy,~:.ng;~--°1ook..l-ilce
a Seneca Lawn House which is to house recreation vehicles. The R®V. that
is par]ced in Mr. Butchers drive is not registered in his name. It's up
to the Village to see if this is a resonable situ~.tion.
Mr. Amendola commented that the R®V. Ordinance specifies that a vehicle
must ,be registered with the Village and it is his understanding that only
one permit per residence is required. In this situation the man has a
trailer which is registered with the Village and felt this was sufficient
to cover the other snowmobiles and such that a person might own. He had
just learned that the motorhome was his mother's or mother-in-law's.. The
Ordinance is on the books and the people would have to change this
Ordinance by having it placed on the ballot.
Mayor Beebe verified that zoning changes had to be put to the voters. He
suggested that they meet before the P & Z.Commission and they would
then make a recommendation to Council who would then pass an Ordinance
that would be jplaced on the ballot. He, Acting Chief Litman and Mr.
Amendola have been keeping up with the situation and no violations
have occured. The man is within our zoning ordinances.
