2~' ~- <br />l <br />J <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />December 18, 1978 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session on Monday, <br />December 18, 1978 at 8:05 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council President, <br />Vince Busa presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs.,~Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Mrs. Hanus <br />Absent: <br />Also Present. Were: <br />OPEN PORT'SG~7: <br />Messrs., Boger and Bordonaro <br />Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Feneli, Foltz, Hejcl, <br />Hovancsek, Litman and Relic. <br />Ms. Fay Boyle, of 6040 Wilson Mills Road, asked that Council consider <br />installation of a no turn on red sign at the intersection of Lander;' <br />Wilson Mills Road to help her problem of getting out of her drive way. <br />It takes as long as twenty minutes every morning to find an opening in the <br />traffic. - <br />Mr. Busa stated that the Council is aware of the traffic situation and <br />has been asking for signalization for Wilson Mills for years. <br />Mayor Beebe sympathized with Ms. Boyle's problem and reported that his <br />most recent correspondence from the-;: County assured him that the signali- <br />zation pro~ect.of some nine years was to have been started December 1st. <br />The .Village has already paid over $5,000.00 for engineering fees and he <br />hasn't observed any construction as yet. He has been assured that it will <br />be completed sometime late February. <br />Mr. Hovancse]c reported that he ahd spoken with the men who stated that <br />work had started although it is possible that nothing has started in the <br />Village itself. The project included other communities. <br />The Traffic Bureau was to give consideration toga sign. <br />Mr. Jack Bur]ces, of 6213 North Woodlane, as]ced if anything had been done <br />regrading his problem since the lastrmeeting? <br />Mr. Amendola stated he had met with Mr. Fiordalisi last week and .plans <br />have been made to remove the soil as oon as weather permits. <br />Mr. Burkes expressed concern that the work would not b.e finished by Spring <br />and he would be flooded. <br />Mr. Feneli stated that he had promised to review the two plans in re to <br />the Flood Zone and informed Mr. Burkes of his right to seek legal counsel <br />as a joining land owner. <br />There being no further comments, that portion of the meeting closed. <br />
