MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING Village of Mayfield September 18, 1972 The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at May- , field Village Hall on Monday, September 18 at 8:01 p.m. Mayor Beebe presided.. . The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. • • ? Ro11 Ca11: Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, „ Braun, Davis, and Leech . Absent: Mr. Schmidt ` Also present were Messrs. Edelman, Hovancsek, and Chief Hejcl. Comments from the floor: None. Mayor Beebe asked the minutes of the August 21 meeting be approved. Mr. Boger pointed out the Mayor does not have voting priviledges as so shown in the "roll calls" of those minutes. Mr. Leech, seconded by Mr..Davis,-motioned to have the minutes.of the ,--- August 21 meeting be approved as corrected. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, Braun, ?, . Davis, and Leech . ' NAYS: None . . Motion Carried ' Minutes Approved .. . Old Business: None. , New Business: Additional Street Liclhting: Three phases; 1) Recommendation by the Police Department per 1972 standards, some areas too dark; thereforeg lights necessary on main arteries and certain secondary crossroads; 2) Areas where underground wiring exi.sts such as Aintree Park and Beta Drive. Cost of about $600 for wiring included in the purchase of homes in that ; area where 80% of the residents indicated they wanted lights; 3) Other - streets where people might want, for example, gas lights, or to put up their own. CEI recommended big lamps spaced so many feet apart, but people would rather see 15' oriental type. Survey•to be conducted will be outlined in the "Voice of the Village"o Pendinct/Potential Zoning Litiqation: The 22 story highrise proposal - in the Upper Forty area still in Common Pleas Court. Senior Citizens building, next to Fisher's Tavern, still pending in the courts. The `- Van Curen/Schwattz proposed development will be litigated. ? _ . . I . - -
