Zeonardi : "Look what I am living with, Donray and I,a <br />Conte, big business. Just little people = little horne owner, <br />whicn I am. I have this council to represent us. My ques- <br />tion, to make this honorable, I tnink that the Zoning Com- <br />mission snould inform ne that this meeting was to take place. <br />Wny didn't they have the honor of notiiying me of this ?rieet- <br />ing tonight?" <br />Tvlayor Beebe: "This is defined as an Open riearing and you <br />are being heard. There were the right number of public <br />notices on this meeting." <br />Solicitor Byrnes: "Th.e legislature of the State of Ohio in <br />Section 713-12 provides that a village must give notices as <br />set forth in the state code. kll public hearings relating <br />to rezoning are in accordance with that statuteo TvTotices <br />appeared Ivov. 30 and Dec. 7 in the Sun I?Iessenger. Tvo one <br />is required to anta_cipate. Councilmen need not phone <br />people notifying them of the meeting whether opponents or <br />proponents. Notices were given as far as tne law provides." <br />Mrs. I,eonardi: "What about the Plain Dealer and the Press. <br />I don°t get the Sun Messenger. I didn't know of the meeting <br />until told tonight when I got home from work." <br />Mayor Beebe : "When ten or more land owners are involved, a <br />written notice is not necessary. T,ess than 10, separate <br />_ notices would have been mailedo" <br />Mr. 0. Stecker, 6759 Glenview Rd.: "I feel sorry for you. <br />I feel sorry you are so close to Donray i'roducts. We want <br />no more of those in this village. The golf course is a <br />beautiful place, a tribute. Sorry he couldn't buy your <br />property. This is the way thirlgs are. Wish he bought off <br />your property. I feel sorry for you." <br />Mr. A. Marra, 6715 Thornappleo "I am for the ordinance. <br />Mr. Leonardi, 1ow cost housing - never. Minimum half acu,e <br />lots are way over cost. Wny don't we put it on the ballot <br />for referendum, then no one could say anything about it."
