Beebe, presided. <br />Roll Call : T'resent : 1JIessrs o t3oger 9 Bordona-ro, Braun, <br />Davis and Leeche <br />Xbsent : Mr. ichmidt <br />Also present were Messrso Byrnes and itelic. <br />lfiayor Beebe opened the hearin.g by stating that triis is an <br />official Open Hearing required by law and reverts back to <br />the latter pa,r•t of last year. aeveral notices in letter <br />form have been receivea from Mr. 11iriello, a resident in <br />the particular area. Two notices nave appeared in the <br />Sun Messenger. Zetters have been sent to adjacent pro- <br />perty ownersm It is all legal. Our Village Solicitor <br />will read the proposed ordinance. <br />. Mr. I,awrence Byrnes stated tne purpose of this i'ublic <br />Hearing was called, oursuant to Section 713.12 of Ohio <br />Revised Code, by request. Ordinance introduced is to <br />amend Ordinance #159 of the zoning code of the Village <br />of Mayfield by transferring certain land in Class U-1 <br />Single Residence Use District to Small Office Use Dis- <br />trict. <br />Proponentss <br />Mr. Arthur iJlinello, 6198 Wilson ifiills Rd. e "T requested <br />the rezoning. I nave lived here for 27 years and watched <br />tne neighborhood change much to my dissatiszaction. When <br />we first moved here in 1945, it was a country settlement <br />and the reason I moved here. During the years since 1962 <br />there has been a lot of changes, with tne freeway and <br />commercialism. It is not the sa.me neighborhood. Tha'u <br />is the reason for making the request for a change in tne <br />zoning. I an not asking for a change, only to conply vaith <br />what we have in the area. tiiith K-Mart across the street, <br />it is a commercial area. Z^le have traffic that is un- <br />believeablee Iruck traffic all night long. I wa.nt only <br />to comply - no change." <br />Mr. Wayne Hocevar, 5992 Wilson Mills xd.: "Just recently <br />council rezoned land on SOM Center Rd. back.to residential <br />urhich was one tirne industrial. Look at land on Wilson <br />s NIills Road. It is very comrnez-cial - land should become <br />i commerciale We are only kidding ourselves to say it is <br />? residential land."
