Discussion <br />followed on zoning requirements. Tt was agreed Mrd I3yrnes would <br />interpret the zoning and advise what can or cannot be done. <br />Catch Basin Covers: Mayor Beebe directed Les Foltz to investigate <br />and further suggested possibly taking a torch on the spot ancl burn <br />bars over the catch basin?;. The cost of purchasi.ng new castings <br />would be approxi.mately $34 each for 180 catch basins. NIr. Prager <br />asked i.f the Village was liable for any personal injury. Mr. <br />Byrne: replied no and in Fnost cases the insurance companie& = com- , <br />pensate for damages inc?ar-red. m-he Village has c??vern,-ner:lal- iz??un.itsY,. - ' <br />; The Mayor statecl Mayfield Hei?hts had requested the Village' to ?o?.r? <br />. them in an effort-t-o have the County replace catch basins on County <br />roads. Mr. Leech stated he'felt the Village had a moral obligation <br />but certainly no liability or responsiba..lity for the County roads. <br />Mr. Hovancsek added because of the cost involved, the best way <br />to go woul.d be to phase out the grates gradually by just replacing <br />them. Mayor Beebe suggested the Service Departmen.t borrow a port- <br />able welder and try to weld cross bars on the grateso <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Leech, introdtzced Ordi.nance 73-22; <br />entitled, "AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING JAKKI CRAVEN' DEPUTY CLERK DIS-, <br />- :' PATCHER9 ZTILLAGE OF MAY£'IELDy OHIO". .. <br />Leech; seconded by Mr. Davis, made a motion.to suspend the <br />:'rules requiring an Ordinance be read on three separate occasions. <br />Ro11 Call: AYES: Messrs.
