Prager and 5chulte NAYS: None Motion Carrieci Resolution Adopted In the event a Mayor resigns, the President o.f Council automatical1.y takes office until the next election. A new President of Council vlill be elected and a new Councilman must be appointed. Mr. Byrnes administered the Oath of Office to Mr. John D. Leech for Mayor of the Village of Mayfield. Mayor Leech was congratulated by Mr. Beebe and Council member_s and presented the gavel. Mayor Leech said he realized that this had been an agoni.zing deciss.on for Mr. Beebe to make. He iespected him for it, beca'use'no man can servs two masters. He thanked N1r. Beebe tor the two years he had served and wished him health, happiness, arid prosperity. Council as a Whole, introduced Resolution 852, erititled; "A RESOLUTION MENlOR?AL1:ZING ACCESSION OF J'OHN D. LEECH' PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE, TO OFFTCE OF MAYOR".
