Prager., & Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Prager introduced Ordinance 74-12; entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO <br />AUTHORIZE AND DSRECT THE MAVOR AND CLERK TREASURER TO TAKE UOMPETITIVE <br />BIDS WITHOUT ADVERTIS?NG AND TO ENTER ZNTO A CONTR.ACT FOR THE LEASE <br />OF A POLICE CRUISER AND TO DECLARE AN II`rIIERGENCY". <br />A discussion followed concerning the vehicles avai.lable and the pros <br />and cons of leasing versus buying. <br />Mr. Prager, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of law requiring an Ordinance be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Barclay, Bennett, IIordonaro, Mrs. <br />Negrelli, Messrs. Prager, & Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ru1es Suspended <br />Mr. 5chulte, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to pass Ordinance <br />74-12. <br />, <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Mrs. <br />Negrelli, Messrs. Prager, & Schulte <br />NAXS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Council decided to hold off on advertising for bids on an additional <br />, police cruiser until further study is made. <br />Mr. Bordonaro introduceel Ordinance 74-13; entitled, "AN ORDSNANCE <br />APPROVING9 ADOPTING9 AND,ENACTING THE CODIFIED GENERAL OFFENSE5 CODE <br />OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELDS OHIO, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT <br />THEREWITH AND DECLARING AN IIMERGENCY". <br />Mr. Byrnes stated this ordinance deals with the Ohio General Crimina7: <br />Statutes which went into effect on January 1, 1974. This ordiriance <br />enacts the same provisions in the Village as are in State iaws?ana- <br />enables the Village.to.,charge under its own codes instead of the,..,. , <br />State Statutes, thus giving us the revenue from fines.
