MINCTTES OF THE REGULAR NIEETING Village of Mayfield <br />Jttaae '17, 1974 ,. <br />-- The Ccduncil of the Village of Mayfield met in regul,ar session at <br />the V3.llage Hall on 1Konday, June 179 1974 at 8:00 p.in. Mayor <br />Leech presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiaazce to the Flag was giveno <br />Roll Ga1,1: Present: Mayor Leech, Messrs. Barclay, Bennett, <br />Bordonaro, Mrs. Negrelli, Messrs. <br />Prager, & Schulte <br />Abs ent : None <br />Also pregent were Messrs. Byrnes, Relic, Havancsek, Chief Hejcl <br />and Les Foltz. <br />The Mayor opened the meeting by ask3.ng for comments fram tYie floor: <br />Willian Ficken, 6458 Chase Drive: As representative o£ the <br />Aintree Park Iioaneowners Assoc., he as'ked the Engineer what he <br />found re problems that might occur in Beechers Brook such as <br />floodiLng from futtare installation of the C.E.I. poles. Engineer , <br />Hovancsek repl.ied that these was discussion with C.E.I. about the <br />poles being lxated in locations different than originally pro- <br />-~?-_ <br />posed and we hsve been wa:Lt3..ng for a new pl.ars to be submitted. <br />The Mayor commented there has beera no def3.nite plan. Within the <br />near future we should know where C.E,Ie proposes to 3.mcate the <br />poles. The federal aald state governments have to approve and the <br />Village has not yet agreed to any plaazs or locations. <br />Mrs. Charles Pr3.or, 6205 S. Woodlaraes Stated her concern about <br />getting out onto Wilson M3.lls. Mayor Leech said we were working <br />with Highland Heights. About 80% o£ traffic is generated by <br />Highl.and Heights and we 3egally can control only the south side <br />of Wi].son Mills. Mr$. Prior then asked how is it K Mart rates <br />two lights and a cul de sac with 80 families can't get out. The <br />Mayor repli.ed they have ta Yaave two lights aecording to state law. <br />Mrs. Prior asked if we could have a sicjn that read "stop on red" <br />west of Worton Park,. Mayor Leech said the spaces betvaeen Alpha <br />Drive and Worton Park was needed as a holding area or traffic <br />would be backed up to the h3gh school; therefore, such a sign <br />would not ]be possible. Mrs. Prior then asked if it would be <br />Aossible to put a-flasher light that said "do not block inter- <br />section". The Engineer said normally that is used in drastic <br />situations; however, the police department wi.ll check into. <br />Florian Ricky, Wilson Mi1Zso Asked if the white 1.ine could be <br />removed fram the middle of his driveway. <br />There being no further comments from the floor, that segment of <br />the meeting concluded.
