<br />The Council of the Vi]_lage of MayField met for a public hearing
<br />at the Village hall on Monday, August 19, 1974 at 70 30 p.mo
<br />Mayor Leech presided.
<br />Roll Call: Present: Mayor Leech, Messrse Barclay, 13ennett,
<br />Bordonaro, and Schulte
<br />. Rbsent: Mr.. Prager and Mrs. Negrelli
<br />Also present caere Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Amendola, and Mrs. Maynard, U!ho
<br />substituted for Clerk-Treasurer Relic.
<br />,•. Mayor Leech stated the purpose of tY?is meeting was to hear comments
<br />: ,?for and against Ordinance 73-43; entitled,. "AN ORDINA.nICE 'Ie0 AMEND
<br />THE ZONE MAP". -
<br />:OPPONENTS: -Julius Paris, 2627 Fairmount Boulevard: Stated he
<br />„ endo.r5ed most of the changes, however, asked Council to consider his
<br />proposed,amendments which basically concern the property between
<br />Wilson Mi116and Highland Road and I-271 and S.O.M. which would be
<br />changing some of the zoning areas from motor services to offices
<br />-btiilding and from office-laboratory to production-distribution.
<br />: He proposed that the property across from Holiday Inn should be
<br />office-laboratory as the s:i.te was best suited for an office buil.ding
<br />,u.;,,and,that zoning should carry through behind the Stevenson property
<br />?K `:and to the, school. He also requested the property between Euclid
<br />Industr3es and the Racquet,Club be zoned to production-distribution
<br />? ;=s instead of. office•-building;. Beca.use the Village has single famil.y
<br />homes along the streets- as_ a buffer he, would impos e a deed -restric-
<br />against anything belng bu31t aTong the 2501 on S.O.M. He sub-
<br />mitted a plat pronosal and,.• asked Mr. Paris what his reason's were for
<br />eaeh of those changes. Mr`: Paris resnonded he felt office-building
<br />; zoning--should be extended further east to include three boUrling
<br />a11ey parcels so it could be pp1it into better useo He has nothing
<br />, to do with those parce7.s btzt just felt would be better usage. He
<br />•also felt on the site north of Beta betcaeen the racquet club and
<br />,?uclid Industries be zoned production-distribution so t he bui].dings.

<br />Post property on S.O.M. and although there are no proposed changes
<br />on- °the' :zoning of that property Yie would go along with the s,ame
<br />.a ,:,progo's?l with deed restr3ctions,isuggested by Mre Paris; i.e, 200'
