MINUTES OF THE REGIILAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />September 16, 1974 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at the <br />Village Hall on Monday , September 16, 1974 at 8:00 p.m. Mayor Leech <br />presided. <br />The Pledge of A].legiance to the Flag was givene <br />Roll Call: Present : Mayor Leech, Messrs. Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, <br />Mrs. Negrelli, Messrs. Prager and Schulte <br />Absent: None <br />Also present were Messrs. Byrnes, Hovancsek, Relic, Amendola, and Chief <br />Shortle. <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by 14r, Schulte, made a motion to approve the <br />minutes of the August 19 Council meeting. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrsm Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro and Schulte. <br />NAYS : None <br />ABSTAIN: Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Prager <br />Comments from the floor: <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />?b;bert Grogan, 480 Qakton Circle; He asked about the paving of Hickory <br />Hill and Blueberry Circle and was advised it would be paved this weekv <br />Mayor's Comments: The Mayor stated C.E.I. has sued the Village regarding <br />the installation of 75-100' poles and a substation which would be on the <br />east side of 1-271. A hearing was held on Sept. lOth and the judge required <br />C.E.I. to submit copies of the plans for both the substation and poles and <br />the Village take action to approve or disapprove by October 4. The court <br />will then ma!ce a decision whether a preliminary injunction should be issued <br />by the court to prevent the Village from stopping the construction. <br />Federal flood insurance funds will be available for any property located <br />in a flood plain area in the Village. <br />Beech Hill Road has been scraped and completed. The Mayor added , we will <br />no longer take care of the road since it is not a dedicated streete <br />Mayor Leech reported the County Engineer agreed to include pedestrian signals <br />in the synchronization program far Wilson Mills. The signals will be located <br />at Alpha Drive/K-Mart, the high school entrance and at Miner Road. They will pay <br />at least 75% of the cost and we will assume the balance.
