Police Department - Chief Shortle He received an application for the Auxilliary Police Unit from Wallace John Farante, 6719 Walnut Drive, and would like to submit Mr. Farante for appointment. Mr. Davis, seconded by I~Ir. Schmidt, moved that the appoint- ment of Mr. Farante be confirmed. Roll Call: Ayes - Alessrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, N~ason, Schmidt and Davis. Nays - None. notion Carried Appointment Confirmed Mayor Busa administered the Oath of Office to Wallace John Farante. Fire Department - Chief Hejcl He would like to institute Twelfth flight 'ourning of Christmas Trees and will ask the people to join in prayer, singing and refreshments. Council President Pro Tem - I~1r. Davis He welcomed all new members of Council and hopes to see a real prosperous New Year. fir. Comella said he was honored to be on Council and will do his utmost for the Village as a whole. l~Ir. Fitz-Gerald anticipates with a great deal of pleasure working with these gentlemen. Mr. Jones feels the same as the other two men and will do his best. Iir. Mason commends `4ayor Busa on his idea of having the Citizens help and is sorry that he will not be around. to work with the new Council. Plr. Schmidt announced that Mrs. Schmidt is here now. He scheduled a Safety and Service meeting Tuesday, January 9, 1968, and wished everyone a i:appy mere Year . Mr. Davis announced that Finance Committee raill~meet January 10, 1968, at 8:00 p.m. Ail Councilmen may attend all Committee T-feetings.
