5. Fire Department - Fire Chief Hejc1. May 13, 1968 is the proposed delivery date of the new Pumper. Mayor Busa recommended the appointment of Anthony D'Agostino and Anthony Vaccarfello to the Fire Department. Mr. Comella, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that we confirm the appoint- ments of Mr. D'Agostino and Mr. Vaccariello to the Fire Department. Roll Calle Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. Nays - None. Motion Carried Appointments Confirmed Fire Chief Hejc1 gave a report for the month of February. . Service Department - Mr. D'Agostino. The Village sign on Wilson Mills Road and the Gates Mills line has been replaced. The railing on the bridge on Beech Hi11 has also been replaced. All vacant homes will be checked. We have prints on sign for Village Ha11. Mayor Busa thanked all connected with the new drapes. Solicitor - Mr. Edelman. No Report. Engineer - Mr. Peterson. He read a letter from the state concerning resurfacing of SOM Center Road. After discussion, Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the Council, Mayor and Engineer be supported in their efforts to obtain a wider road on SOM Center through the Village of Mayfiled, instead of resurfacing the old road. He read a letter of thanks from Mr. and Mrs. DeTillio, thanking the police and fire departments for their prompt action pertaining to a recent fire in their home. Mayor Busa commented on the control of dogs. They are getting to be a nuisance. Mr. Sam Stein, Butternut Drive, along with other residents from the Sandalwood area, presented a petition dated March 16, 1968, requesting a zoning
