(7) <br />1~Ir. Donaldson, seconded by rir. Davis, moved that Ordinance No. 1054 be <br />approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - 24essrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, <br />Schmidt and Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Ordinance Passed. <br />Mr. Comella. <br />He attended the Easter Egg Hunt, which was very nice; children had a <br />good time. He thought it was very generous of Mr. Fitz-Gerald to lend his property. <br />Mr. Donaldson. <br />We might see a speed-up in obtaining the office furniture. <br />Mr. Schmidt. <br />On Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., a band. called "Society" will be playing <br />in the Village Ha11. They have permission to use the hall if the Village children <br />can come in and listen to them practice. He complimented Mr, and Mrs. Jay on their <br />fine children. <br />Ticlcets'for'the Welfare and Recreation Card Party, April 21, 1968, may <br />be picked up at the Village Hair Fashions. <br />The annual rlinstrel Show will be held April 26 and 27, at riayfield Center <br />School - donation $1.25. <br />Mr. Jim Gilles. 6180 Wilson Mi11s Road. <br />H,e understands that the Metropolitan Park Board has put in a bid for <br />Village property. We now have 24% of the Village property on the non-paying tax <br />list as schools, churches, etc. "[that are we proposing to do about this, Mr. Mayor, <br />can we stop them?," he asked. <br />Mayor Busa. <br />He replied that we have 2,538.3 acres in our Village, 870 acres of this <br />belongs to the Park Board. He would like to pray that the Park Board be stopped, <br />but does not know how this can be done. <br />Mr. Edelman. <br />Property can be obtained by the right of eminent domain. There is no <br />way of stopping them. <br />Mr. Gilles. <br />Can the Court recognize an injunction? <br />i~ir. Edelman. <br />It might delay it. <br />
