MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />July 18, 1968 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Meeting at the Village <br />Hall on Thursday, July 18, 1968, at 8:10 p.m., Mayor Busa presiding,'pursuant <br />to notice to all members of Council. <br />Roll Call: Present - Mayor Busa, Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, <br />Schmidt and Davis, <br />Absent -None. <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, introduced Ordinance No. 1071, entitled: <br />"AN OPDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 1067, SAN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE <br />FOR THE ISSUE OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT BONDS IN ANTICIPATTON OF THE COLLECTION OF <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT .OF LANDER ROAR BETWEEN CERTAIN TERMINI <br />BY GRADING, DRAINING, CURBING,.PAV~NG (INCLUDING CURB CONNECTIONS WHERE <br />NECESSARY,) AND INSTALLING SIDEWALKS, TOGETHER WITH ALI, NECESSARY APPURTENANCES,"' <br />which Ordinance was read to Council. <br />Mr. Comella, seconded by Mr. Fitz -Gerald, moved that the rules of law requiring <br />an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Rules Suspended. <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that Ordinance No. 1071 be approved <br />and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Ordinance Passed. <br />A discussion followed regarding the Insurance program of the Village. It was <br />pointed out that the insurance coverage was very inadequate, Mr. Andrew <br />Kaschalk of the James and Manchester Company, pointed out the respects in <br />which the Village did not have full protection. <br />The following Resolution was offered by rlr. Davis, seconded by Mrs Jones.: <br />Resolved that the James and Manchester Company be authorized to <br />execute a temporary binder giving the Village full comprehensive <br />general liability coverage, on individuals; vehicles and otherwise, <br />and that the present policy be returned to issuing company for cancella- <br />tion and rebate. Be it further resolved that definite specifications <br />be prepared for competitive bidding at an early date. <br />
