(2) <br />It was moved by Air. Davis, seconded by Air. Comella, that these appointments be con- <br />firmed. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Donaldson, Bordonaro, Schmidt and <br />Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />notion Carried. <br />Appointments Confirmed. <br />Mr. Arnold Edelman, a notary public, administered the Oath of Office to Patrolmen <br />Gould and Jay. <br />Aiayor Busa read a letter from Chief Hejcl, recommending the appointment of Leonard <br />Friedel and Robert Jamieson to the rank of Lieutenant in the Fire Department. Mayor <br />Busa appointed Firemen Friedel and Jamieson to the rank of Lieutenant. <br />It was moved by Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, that these appointments be <br />confirmed . <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt and <br />Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Appointments Confirmed. <br />Aiayor Busa read a complimentary letter from the Senior High School for the ~aay our <br />Police Department handled the traffic at the football game at the new stadium. <br />Mayor Busa also read a letter of thanks to the Police Department from Mayor <br />Zimmerman for helping with the crowd at the Richmond Mall when Vice President <br />Humphrey was present. <br />A letter was read from Sheriff Ralph E. Krieger, expressing thanks to the people <br />who had voted for him. <br />Air. Fitz=Gerald asked if there was any report concerning the dedication of streets <br />from the engineering department. Mr. Weiss said that he had not been informed of <br />any. Mr. Friedman, Aiaintree Realty, asked for the dedication of Sandalwood, Ain- <br />tree Park Drive, Raliegh Drive and Hunt Circle. Mayor Busa asked the Engineers <br />to walk off the above named streets. Air. Weiss said that it would be done that <br />week. A Council Committee will also be appointed to walk off the streets and the <br />combined reports will be submitted to Council. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Schmidt. <br />Mayor Busa appointed Mr. Santo Basile, 6771 Aietro Parlt Drive, to serve as a member <br />of the Safety and Service Committee. <br />Mr. Comella, seconded by Mr. Fitz-Gerald, moved that the appointment of Mr. Basile <br />be confirmed. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Appointment Confirmed. <br />
