(5) <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. ~~ <br />Nays - None. Motion Carried. <br />Appointment Confirmed. <br />Mr. Fitz-Gerald, seconded by Mr. Davis, made a motion that we become a member of <br />the Regional Planning Commission in 1969. The dues are $118.00. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None. Motion Carried. <br />Mayor Busa received word from Mr. Peterson that he would not be able to serve as <br />Village Engineer this coming year, due to business commitments. A committee <br />consisting of the members of Council and the Architectural Board will be formed <br />to seelc an Engineer . <br />rlayor Busa read a letter complimenting Mr. D'Agostino on the excellent job his <br />department had done plowing snow. A discussion followed on the merits of using <br />sand versus cinders. Mr. Paris complimented the Village for their system of using <br />salt and.~cinders. <br />Building_Committee - Mr. Bordonaro. <br />Mr. Bordonaro read the Minutes of the December 20, 1968 meeting. He reported that <br />the front office is being remodeled for a combination office and caucas room. Neca <br />council chairs have been ordered. <br />Recreation Committee - Mr. Schmidt. <br />Mr. Schmidt reported that an election of officers had been held for 1969 and that <br />their winter sports program has been started. The spring recreation program is <br />open and everyone is invited. <br />The following are on the recreation committee - Messrs. Schmidt, Bordonaro, Vitek, <br />Kramer, Perkins, Cotton, Guidi, Deal, Jaquays, Strater, Kish and Sauer. <br />rir. Comella will remain as council representative to the Architectural Board, and <br />Mr. Bordonaro, Mr. Boger and Mr. Schwed on the Building Committee. <br />Cemetery Committee - Mr. Donaldson. <br />Letters have been sent to New England Cemeteries requesting information as to how <br />they have handled the decorating problem. <br />Streets and Roads <br />Pair. Fitz-Gerald, Mr. Baslie and Mr. Boger will remain on this Committee. <br />Civil Defense <br />Mr. Bordonaro and Mr. Tobbe will remain on this Committee. <br />
