2. <br />Air. Fitz-Gerald, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, introduced Ordinance No. 69-8; entitled: <br />"An Ordinance Providing for the Employment of an Engineer for the Village of <br />i~fayfield." <br />T•ir. Comella, seconded by Air. Fitz-Gerald, moved that the rules of law requiring <br />an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None. Alotion Carried. <br />Rules Suspended. <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Nir. Davis, moved that Ordinance No. 69-8 be approved and <br />passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -,Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None. Alotion Carried. <br />Ordinance Passed. <br />Mayor Busa thanked the Council for their confidence and assistance in choosing an <br />Engineer. Mayor Busa asked T~Ir. Hovancsek to assist the people of the Village <br />~•~ith their problems during the month of Nlarch, on Saturdays, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. <br />Architectural Board - ylr. Comella. <br />The Architectural Board met January 23, 1969 and February 12, 1969. They dis- <br />cussed and approved a proposed material for the exterior of the Atlantic Service <br />Station, and also approved several new dwellings. <br />Building Committee - Mr. Bordonaro. <br />The Committee recommended that all cracked windows be repaired, exit lights be <br />clzeclced, bulletin board be kept up to date and that the stage be extended and <br />lowered. A discussion of the removal of the stage follocaed. The riayor thanked <br />all who had assisted in the remodeling of the Village Hall. <br />Recreation Committee - Mr. Schmidt. <br />Mr. Robert Deal has been elected as the new chairman of the Recreation Committee. <br />AIr. Schmidt, as Councilman, is Director. <br />February 26, 1969 is the registration date for the summer soft ball. <br />Mr. Schmidt would like Mr. Hovancsek to stalte the new Village Hall site and check <br />on the possibility of a permanent soft ball diamond. Mr. Schmidt was reminded <br />that the site must be used by the Village for municipal purposes in order to be <br />tax exempt. <br />Union Cemetery _ itiIr. Donaldson. <br />A local architect has volunteered to do a rendition of the cemetery. I~ir. Donaldson <br />will have more information concerning this at the next meeting. An undisclosed <br />source has donated $600.00 to beautify the cemetery. <br />
