MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />June 24, 1969 <br />~' 'A Public Hearing was held at the Village h'a11 os. Tuesday, June 24, 1969, at 8:00 PM, The <br />~,., meeting was called to order by i~;ayor ~3t~sta. <br />Mr. Edelman read the high points of Ordinance llo~ 69-29 and the notice of the meeting in the <br />Sun-Press. ' <br />Mr, Fitz-Gerald reported on the recorr~rnendations of Planning and Zona.ng Commission. <br />The following proponents and opponents were heard: <br />R.W. F{reckel, Zorn Lane - Thinks that the people should have a chance. <br />John A. Gibb, Thornapple Dr. - Is in favor of A`-r. Kreckel°s suggestion, thinks that it should <br />be given more thought. <br />Robert Beebe, Zorn Lane - Glanted an explanation of the ~~ergency C1ause® 4das against the Em- <br />ergency Clause. <br />John Michalko, Wilson Mills - His question was similar to ~~x. Beebe ~ s - 6•lo~.drred about xxT~ex- <br />gency. <br />Robert Hahn, Eastgate Dr. - Against the Emergency Clause. Thinks that it should be put on <br />the ballot. <br />Sam Shannon, Worton Park Dr. - Thinks that the people should have a choice, but wants every- <br />" one to study it very carefully. <br />Mrs. Gilles, Aintree Park Apt® - O®69-10, containing the Emergency Clause was not railroaded <br />through. lrle have duly elected Officials who have represented us and Qade a decision. We <br />should stand by them. <br />Dick Schanfarber, Sandalwood - Did not make a definite stand for the Ord. No. 69-29.or ag- <br />ainst. Does not care as much for the density as dirty loading docks. <br />James Smith, Sandalwood - Thinks that the Emergency Clause is academic. Is in favor of the <br />density but is opposed to outdoor loading. <br />Henry Birnbaun, Representing the Industrial Park - Is opposed-to Ord. 69-29.. <br />Art Miniello, Wilson Mills Rd. - Opposed to the Emergency Clause - because if we go back to <br />25° density, we will have a white elephant on our hands. <br />Mayor Busa appointed Mr. Davis and Mr. Comella to work as a committee to study Ordinance ~ <br />No. 69-2g; and meet Vrith all civic organizations and the Industrial Park principles with ~ <br />the possibility of working out a reasonable compromise - acceptable to all parties.
