MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />August 18, 1969 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at the Viillage <br />Hall on Monday August 18, 1969 at 8x10 P.M., Mayor Busa, presiding. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present - Mayor Busa, Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, <br />Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Absent - None <br />Mr. Donaldson asked that an omission of the July 21, 1969 minutes be added <br />on page 5 after Mr. Donaldson's quote `' They have lost five prospective <br />buyers - moved out because of turmoil- the less said the better." <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the minutes of the July 21, <br />1969 be accepted as amended. <br />Roll Calla Ayes - Messrs. Comella9 Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None <br />Motion.Carried <br />Minutes Accepted <br />No word has been received by Mr. Edelman concerning the Standard Oil Case. <br />Mr. Lockemer will call Mr. Corsi about checking our Local Income tax list. <br />Mayor Busa read a letter that he had written to the State Officials regarding <br />the widening of SOM Center Roado He also read their response of July 29, 1969. <br />It was their understanding that the• sewer would outlet into a natural waterway,. <br />They stated that they: would reexamine it. The trend of the State Officials <br />is favorable. Commenting on Mr. Comella°s suggestion that photographs be <br />sent to the State, Mayor Busa said that the Police and Fire Departments had <br />been advised to photograph the area at flood time. Our Engineer, Mr. Hovancsek <br />will acknowledge the States°s letter. <br />Committee Reportsa <br />Mayfield Village Picnic- Mr. Comella <br />Mr. Schmidt has charge of the soft ball and soccer games. The " Cock-N-Bull" <br />Saloon will. be in operation. There will be plenty of food, games and fireworks. <br />The picnic is for the entire village. <br />Mr. 'Edelman read a new " Weed Cutting Ordinance" that had been prepared. <br />1 Mr. Fitz-Gerald, seconded by Mr. Comella, introduced Ordinance No. 69-34, <br />_ entitleda " AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF NOXIOUS WEEDS <br />GROWING WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1010." <br />
