<br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL i~~TING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />October 9, 1969 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met at Mayfield Center School on <br />Thursday, the 9th day of October, 1969, at 8:10 P.M. , in Special. Meeting, <br />Floyd Davis, Council President Pro `t em, presiding in the absence of Mayor <br />Busa. <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs. Comella, <br />and Fitz-Gerald. <br />Absent - Mayor Busa. <br />Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt, Davis <br />Mr. Davis announced that this meeting was called for the purpose of ob- <br />taining temporary headquarters for the Police Department , since a fire <br />in the Village Hall had destroyed their offices. <br />Chief Shortle reported that an office suite in the VanCuren Building at <br />6675 Wilson Mills Road was available on a month to month basis at $ 300. <br />00 per month. It is centrally located and has a private side entrance. <br />After discussion, Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Comella, introduced <br />Ordinance No: 69-40, entitled: " AN ORDINANCE TO ENTER INTO A-LEASE FOR <br />SPACE AT 667 WILSON MILLS ROAD ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS FOR THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT." <br />- Mr. Comella, seconded by Mr. Donaldson, moved that the rules of law re- <br />quiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -.Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, and <br />Schmidt. <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Fitz-Gerald, moved that Ordinance No. 69-40 <br />be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, and <br />Schmidt. <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Chief Shortle reported that their records and a lot of their equipment had <br />been saved. Their furniture and typewriter was lost. The computer and zerox <br />machine were destroyed, but they were leased.
