MINUTES OF SPECIAL i~~TING Village of Mayfield October 9, 1969 The Council of the Village of Mayfield met at Mayfield Center School on Thursday, the 9th day of October, 1969, at 8:10 P.M. , in Special. Meeting, Floyd Davis, Council President Pro `t em, presiding in the absence of Mayor Busa. Roll Call: Present - Messrs. Comella, and Fitz-Gerald. Absent - Mayor Busa. Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt, Davis Mr. Davis announced that this meeting was called for the purpose of ob- taining temporary headquarters for the Police Department , since a fire in the Village Hall had destroyed their offices. Chief Shortle reported that an office suite in the VanCuren Building at 6675 Wilson Mills Road was available on a month to month basis at $ 300. 00 per month. It is centrally located and has a private side entrance. After discussion, Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Comella, introduced Ordinance No: 69-40, entitled: " AN ORDINANCE TO ENTER INTO A-LEASE FOR SPACE AT 667 WILSON MILLS ROAD ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT." - Mr. Comella, seconded by Mr. Donaldson, moved that the rules of law re- quiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes -.Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, and Schmidt. Nays - None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Fitz-Gerald, moved that Ordinance No. 69-40 be approved and passed as read. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, and Schmidt. Nays - None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed Chief Shortle reported that their records and a lot of their equipment had been saved. Their furniture and typewriter was lost. The computer and zerox machine were destroyed, but they were leased.
