i- <br />i <br />~ MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />Village of Mayfield - <br />- Dec. 15, 1969 <br />- • <br />' Mayor Busa called the meeting to order at 7:50 P.M. <br />~ Mr. Edelman read the proposed Ordinance No. 69-43, entitled: " AN <br />- ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0.159';~ CIE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD BY ADDING SECTIONS 4(a) AND 4(b) DEFINING "FAMILY" - <br />AND PROVIDING AS TO ROOMERS IN CLASS U-1 AND U-2 USE DISTRICTS, AND <br />SECTION 4(C) LIMITING THE NUMBER OF PERSONS laiHO MAY OCCUPY A DWELLING <br />UNIT, "introduced by Mr. Schmidt. <br />Mayor Busa asked if any proponents of_-the Ordinance were present: <br />. Mrs. Schassberger, 6707 Wilson Mills Road, approved the Ordinance and <br />~ - objected to having the residence turned into a rooming house. . <br />Mr. Edelman,explained that there was nothing that we could do to stop <br />the number of people living ther now, since we had not previously had <br />an ordinance to cover this situation. The ordinance is not retroactive. - - <br />-.\ . <br />Mr. Oliver Miller, 6721, Wilson Mills Road is in favor of the Ordinance. <br />Two of the boys from the rooming house were present and asked for <br />suggestions as to what they .could do to improve the relations wj.tf~ the <br />neighbors in the Village. <br />Mayor Busa informed the boys that he respected their attitude. He <br />. explained that the challenge is theirs, they have to maintain the <br />property, not break rules and set.an.example.
