60 <br />Civil Defense - Mr. Boger <br />They have not had a meetingm They have discussed the use of the amphibian <br />duck and feel that it would be too expensive® Mayor Busa asked Mro Boger to <br />check and see if Mro Tobbe will accept as Directoro Mro Maynard will assist, <br />if neededo <br />Mayor's Advisory Committee - Mrm Fitz-Gerald <br />The Mayors Advisory Committee met February 12', 1970 and made the following <br />recommendations - were in favor of Upper forty, were not in favor of the old <br />scliool~house being used by the Rotary Club, suggested that the light at Wil- <br />son Mills and the High School be operated at rush hours, suggested that a citi- <br />zen's committee be formed to learn more about the sewer situation, also a <br />Town Hall Committee be 'formed to inform the voters of the pros and cons of a <br />new village hallo <br />These recommendations were discussed and it was felt that there was no need <br />at the present for a "sewer committee", perhaps laterm <br />New Village Hall Building Committee - Mro Leech <br />The committee has spent countless hours screening 10 or more. architectso A <br />screened group of three met with the Council memberso Their decision was to <br />hire Bruce Huston of Willoughby, Ohiom He is an excellent architect, who <br />will give comparison figures as, to the building of a new village hall versus <br />the restoring of the old village hallo He does not receive pay until the <br />bond issue is passedm <br />Mr. Leech, seconded by Mro Boger introduced Ordinance Noo 70-14, entitleda <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO EMPLOY HUSTON AND ASSOCIATES AS ARCHITECTS FOR THE REMODEL- <br />ING OF THE PRESENT VILLAGE HALL OR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW VILLAGE HALL." <br />Mr® Fitz®Gerald, seconded by Mro Schmidt, moved that the rules of law re® <br />quiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspendedo <br />Roll Callo Ayes - Messrso Leech, FitzmGerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt and <br />Davism <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mre Schmidt, seconded by Mro Davis, moved that Ordinance Noo 70®14 be approv- <br />ed and passed as read® <br />Roll Gallo Ayes m Messrso Leech, Fitz®Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Sohmidt and <br />Daviso ' <br />Nays m None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Village Income Ta~c - Mro Leech No Report <br />
