8. Mr. Edelman had prepared and Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Leech, introduced Ordinance No. 70-21, entitled:" AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITIATG THE STEALING. OF ANY THING HAVING A VALUE OF LESS THAN $ 60.00 AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY THEREOF." Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis,. moved that the rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt & Davis. Nays - None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that Ordinance No. 70-21 be approved" and passed as read. Nays - None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed Mr. Edelman and Mr. Lockemer will appear before the-Local Board of Tax Appeals on Tuesday, April 21, 1970. Result of Poll on Remodeling the Old Village Hall or Building a New Village Hall by Mr. Leech. With the return of 285 letters from a possible 1,.100, the trend-was toward a new town hall. Mr. Leech reminded us-that this trend- could change with-more returns. After discussion , it was recommended that we-hold a public meeting on April 30, 1970 for a presentation of the pros and-cons~of the building a new Town Hall or the remodeling of the old Village Hall. Mr. Russo presented plans for a proposed Senior Citizens~Building to be located on the former Post property at 735 SOM Center Road. It would be located approx- imately 370 ft. from SOM in the area that is zoned for Office-Laboratory. The building would contain 225 units and be privately financed, with-a:-=Board of.
