1 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD <br />JUNE 26,. 1970 <br />A Special Meeting, pursuant to notice to all members of council, was held <br />at the Mayor's Office on Friday, June 26, 1970 at 8:10 P.M., Mayor Busa, <br />presiding. <br />Roll Call: PRESENT: Mayor Busa, Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, <br />Boger, Schmidt and Davis. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />1 <br />The purpose of the meeting was to further discuss remodeling of the <br />Village Hall damaged by fire, versus the building of a new hall and <br />methods of financing this project. <br />After discussion, Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Boger, made a motion <br />that the old building be remodeled. <br />Comment on the Motion - Mayor Busa: "Personally, I am in favor of build.=~.. <br />ing a new Administration Building on either one of our two sites instead <br />of remodeling the old village hallo But I shall concede to the wishes of <br />the majority of council and campaign and work with them •towards that end in <br />the interests of economy and efficiency of the administration," <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Boger, Bordonaro and Davis. <br />NAYS: Mr. Schmidt. <br />Motion Carried <br />1 <br />After talking to our Architectural Board and Huston Architects, it was <br />decided that X100,000.00 would be needed to finance the reconstruction and <br />that a voted bond issue would be the best route to take, rather than the <br />issuing of councilmanic bonds. <br />RESOLUTION #175: Mr. Fitz-Gerald, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, introduced <br />RESOLUTION #775, Entitled, "A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO SUBMIT TO THE <br />ELECTORS OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD THE~QUESTION OF ISSUING BONDS FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF RECONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING THE VILLAGE HALL, HERETOFORE, DAMAGED <br />BY FIRE." <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Boger, made a motion that the rules of law <br />requiring a resolution be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt <br />and Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />
