NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Air Compressor: Discussion followed on the purchase of an air <br />compressor for the striping of roads. Safety and Service Committee <br />was asked to bring this to council again. <br />Additional Policemen: Mayor Busa and the council are continuing <br />their efforts to supplement our police forceo <br />Finance: Mr. Davis: Reported that we are X1,000.00 within range <br />of our real figures. Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Boger, introduced <br />1°Pay Ordinance #570P" and recommended the payment of bills. Mayfield School District <br />has had no contact with the committee at the present time relative <br />to ditching on Woodlane Dr. NTayfran had submitted a plan for off- <br />street parking that they proposedo Sent a letter for additional <br />information the Texaco Oil Service Station topography site plan <br />for their Wilson Mills Rd. locationo <br />Solicitor: Mro Edelman: Nothing. <br />Clerk-treasurer:-. Mro Lockemer: Three bids were received out of a <br />possible twelve on the specifications sent out by Chief Shortle <br />for replacement of police cars. Bid quotations are: Qua Buick <br />$4,024.47 less tradein $525..00, net cost $3,499~47~ LaTour <br />Oldsmobile $3,881000 less $600.00, net cost $3,281000° Elliott <br />Dodge (did not meet the specifications - deficient in items requested) <br />$3,586.89 less X450900, net cost ~3,136089~ <br />ORDINANCE 71-20: Mro Boger, seconded by Mr. Schmidt, introduced <br />ORDINANCE 71-20, Entitled: "AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF <br />LATOUR OLDSMOBILE FOR SALE OF .A POLICE CAR." Mr. Leech, seconded <br />by Mr. Boger, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requiring <br />an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: <br />AYES: Messrs.
