20 SOM Center Rdo Widenin Pro ress Re ort: Mro Hovancsek: Divis- ion 12 of State of Ohio Highway Depto reported back to Mro Hovanc- sek that the guard rail at the ravine on SOM Center Rdo north of Fisher's Tavern is to be maintained by Mayfield Villageo Dis- cussion followed on maintenance and replacement and finally resolved with a motion by Mro Zeech suggesting to authorize Mro Hovancsek to get bids on a permanent guard railo Mayor Busa asked for a letter condemning the guard rail for our files and make sure it is "negatived" Mro Zeech, seconded by Mro Fitz-Gerald, made a motion to authorize Mro Hovancsek to get bids on a permanent guard rail at the ravine on SOM Center Rdo north of Fisher°s Taverno Roll Call: AYES: Messrso beech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger and;Daviso NAYS: Noneo Motion Carried Master Plan: Mro David Shields of the Citizen's Committee of the Master Plan stated that they met'with Regional Planning Com- mission to discuss with them what they can do for the committee in updating the Master Plana It called for a 5 - 6 point plan for updating at a proposed cost of $5,000000 .to $6,000o00o Discussion followed on means of financing using federal funding assistanceo Mayor Busa asked about 1967 Master Plan being amended and to check into this as we may save moneyo Village Hall: Mro leech: As of now, we may be in the completed village hall by April 15, 1971, the projected completion date but weather is a factor as the furnace is yet to be installedo Mayor Busa stated that Mro Van Curen, the owner of our present location, would charge us on a day-to-day basis after April 15th dates Gas Well: Chief Hejcl: The fire chief has checked all of his. reports and prints and has found no record of digging up a gas well on the property next to Mro lassorella on SOM Center Rdo It was learned from longime residents that it was supposedly 50 - 60' deepo As far as the chief can tell, it doesn°t exist because they can not find ito Division #12 of State Highway Depto has been notified that they should check further because it is their liability due to the easemento Mre lassorella was informed that if he should detect an odor of gas at any time in the future it is his duty to notify the fire depto immediatelyo Metro Park Drive Sewer: Mra Hovancsek: Work is now being done to remove 20' of pipe that is full of roots and replacing it with slip-seal type of piped This pipe costs $300000 and the job will run $800000 to $900000 and they are about half-firiishedo The Service Depto and 'Zorn Coo are installing 'a manhole in the tree lawn for future clean-out and inspectionso Storm Sewer - Ridgebury and Commonwealth: Mrs Hovancsek: Water i~, backed up into residents basements in Mayfield Heights at Ridgebury and Commonwealth Avenueso Mayfield Heights is ask- ing our consent to enlarge sewers in Mayfield Village up to a pointo To do so is disastrous for W`orton Park residentso Erosion is a more serious problemo $539000000 is the estimated
