NAYS: <br />Motion Carried <br />School Board Conference on Recreation: Council directed Mro <br />Schmidt, Recreation Chairman, to attend this conference. <br />School Board Bond Issue: The Mayfield Schools have elected to <br />put a $2,200,000.00 Bond Issue on the ballot in May, 1971 and <br />have now decided to float a levy, as wello They claim this will <br />be a $48.00 per year additional tax on real estate for the aver- <br />age homeowner in our area on a $10,000000 tax valuation. <br />~~ Councilman Boger was te~orarily excused (9:35 Porte) from the <br />meeting. <br />A meeting was set for April 8, 1971 at So00 Palle for all members <br />of council and the Planning and Zoning Commission in the Mayor°s <br /> Office relative to the Mayfield Schools Bond Issue and Levyo <br /> Mr. Davis, seconded by Mro Bordona ro, made a motion to accept <br /> the time and date o f this meetingo Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. <br /> Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro and Daviso NAYS: None. <br /> <br />Flooding Property: <br />Mro Hovancsek: Motion Carried <br />Stated that we have nothing <br /> in writing from the Mayfield Board of Education relative to the <br /> flooding condition at the Woodlane Drive area. <br />City of Brook Park sent us a copy of their Resolution #1-1971, <br />dated Jano 19, 1971, Entitled: "A resolution memoralizing the <br />Ohio Constitution so as to give relief to the individual .tax <br />payer as opposed to commercial and industrial proparty ownerso" <br />Mayfield Village was asked to join them in supporting legislation <br />to'amend the Constitution of the State of~Ohio. Mayor doesn't <br />see any reason why we should not endorse this as it costs us no- <br />thing. <br />Water Pollution and Building Ban: Mro Leech was asked to attend <br />this meeting if possible on Friday, March 19, 1971 at 2:30 P.M. <br />in the offices of Squires, Saunders and Dempsey in the Union <br />Commerce Building in Cleveland to discuss water pollution and <br />building bans. <br />Highland Rdo Baptist Church: Sanitary sewer permit for this <br />church is a very temporary permit and has not been procured as <br />yet. <br />Ohio Bell Telephone Co: Received a communication requesting <br />permission to do work on tree lawns in various areas along SOM <br />Center Rdo where the road widening is now in progresso The <br />mayor approved the application. <br />Cuyahoga County Board of Health: Requested our presence at a <br />
