" Given a third reading. i~2ayor Busa <br />urged the council to pass this ordinance now and not wait any <br />longer as we are being left out and not informed. He also <br />stressed that we must join or be prepared to do our own col- <br />lecting of taxes and for which we are not adequately staffed. <br />i~ir. Leech stated we are not one of the members and do not <br />know what is happening. ~G~ae are uncertain of the cost involved <br />so if we go ahead now we can always beck out at a later date. <br />• i~ir. Davis, seconded by i~Ir. Leech, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three sep- <br />arate occasions. Roll Call: ~iYES: ilessrs. Zeech: Air <br />conditioning control is the only unfinished business. r~ir. <br />Robert Reeves of idorman Lane will donate at some future date <br />a hand-painted picture of the village hall for the council <br />chambers. I~r. Robert Beebe of porn Lane has donated an <br />American Eagle plaque to be placed on the exterior of the <br />village hall over the front door entrance. Mayor Busa <br />expressed his thanks to NIr. Beebe for his thoughtfulness. <br />NIr. Leech officially turned over Mayfield Village Hall to <br />the Building and Grounds Committee. Mayor Busa thanked <br />P`ir. Leech for an excellent j ob as i~7aster of Ceremonies at <br />the Open House held Oct. 12, 1971. <br />Safety Forces' Grievances: illr. Schmidt: i•~ir. Boger recom- <br />mended that the policemen be given 6 paid holidays. i~'Ir. <br />Edelman will take the necessary steps and amend the applic- <br />able ordinance to make this retroactive to June 1, 1971. <br />ilaster Plan Citizen's Committee Progress Report: i~Ir. Smith <br />reported a meeting attended by Nlayor Busa, councilmen, <br />Planning and toning Commission members and others. He <br />stated his committee made a tour of large undeveloped areas <br />of the community and recommended legislation for all future <br />
