E. 1~Iaynard ~2 .00 for general fund deposit received from the sale of surplus jail material originally costing X100.00 for the whole jail package. Eastern Cuyahoga Enforcement Bureau: Chief Shortle stated that our initial cost is ~u500.00 and that this is a joint project comprising b police departments in the Hillcrest area. It is not new in Cleveland area suburbs but a first for an east side suburb. Tt would be good to be prepared with the rift type of sophisticated equipment and trained personnel when needed. Federal grants are easier to obtain for a region. Oct. 14, 1971 a meeting will be held to dis- cuss the project jointly. Mayor Busa urged the council to endorse this adventure by resolution. Council agreed the project had merit and requested more information. Ohio Bell Permission: At b205 Ridgebury Blvd. Ohio Bell Telephone Co. asked for permission to string underground cable and this was referred to i~ir. L. riovanesek, who approved the request and council gave its approval. S.O.~i. Center N.d. Traffic ~i~ns: i~~ir. Boger reported that there aren't any "iJo atopping" signs posted on 5.0.11. Center Rd. which was recently widened. He recommended ths.t this be enforced immediately. Mayor i3usa stated that the road was posted with "iVo Stopping" and "lvo Parking" signs and that same will be enforced. Architectural Board: i~Ir. i,eech: iuo report.
