<br />I~iITVTJTES OF A SPECIAL PIEETITdG <br />Village of T~'Iayfield <br />October 26, 1971 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session <br />at the Mayfield Village Hall on Tuesday, October 26, 1971 at <br />10:00 P.I'~., Mayor Vince J. Busa, presiding, pursuant to <br />notice to all members. " <br />Roll Call: Present: 1~Iayor .B sa, •P~Iessrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, <br />Bordona o, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Absent : Iyir. Boge <br />~ilso preser_t eras I'~'Ir. John Relic. <br />Council appointed T~'Ir. Fitz-Gerald acting clerk for the <br />Special Pfeetirig. <br />T~ir. Scrimidt, seconded by I~Zr. Leech, moved that the reading <br />and approval of the minutes of the previous meeting be <br />suspended until our next council meeting in lovember. <br />Roll Call: AYES: T~'Iessrs. beech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, <br />;~chrriidt and Davis . NAYS : i'Vone . <br />T4iotion Carried <br />P~Zr. Leech then explained that the local government funds <br />allocated to T~Iayfield Village are being held up together <br />with the funds of all other municipalities in Cuyahoga <br />County pending an appeal to the Franklir_ County Court of <br />Appeals. As a result the funds i~zould not be available <br />until 1972 as the court will not hear the case before <br />that time. however, if council will authorize the solici- <br />tor to sign a Journal Entry, the court will release approx- <br />imately 90% of the local government funds due to Mayfield <br />Village. It is, therefore, necessary to adopt a resolu- <br />tion authorizing the solicitor to approve such a Journal <br />Entry. <br />After a short discussion, r. Leech, seconded by I'~Ir. Bord- <br />onaro, introduced RESOLUTION ;x808, Entitled: "A RESOLUT- <br />IUi'1 ~UTHOnIGING THE SOLICITOR OF THE VILLAGE OF I'•~YFIELD <br />TO APPROVE A JOURNAL ETdTRY TO EN.~BLE THE IdTE~~III DIS- <br />TRIBU~l'IOIV OF LUCAL GOVLRNT~IEI~T FUNDS. " <br />I~'Ir. Bordonaro, seconded 'oy I4Ir. Schmidt, made a motion to <br />suspend the rules of law requiring a resolution to be <br />read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: ~~YES: T~'Iessrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, <br />Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: None. <br />
