Mlidening Progress Report: Mr. Hovancsek: <br />A release was given to the contractor on the highway por- <br />tion of the work as it now is with no additional work <br />required. CEI pole in sidewalk on the east side and north <br />of the Sohio Service Station will be removed at our re- <br />quest by CEI expense. I~ir. Boger asked I~Ir. Hovancsek to <br />check into 2 other poles he feels are mislocated. <br />Master Plan: Mr. Rickey reported a workshop meeting held <br />and another planned. Diet with I~ir. Cullen of the state <br />office on federal aid for additional planning. <br />Pollution Control: Mayor Busa informed I~Iayor-elect Beebe <br />that he will be glad to coordinate witYi him to further <br />our interest in not allowing the million gallon holding <br />tank to be built in our village. <br />Joint Recreation Feasibility Study Committee: ivIr. Schmidt: <br />Nothing new to report. <br />Council Chambers Kitchenette Progress Report: Mr. Leech: <br />The ,general contractor, architect, heating and electrical <br />sub-contractors have completed their work. Council agreed <br />that the air conditioning company should not be paid in <br />full until next spring or summer when it is definitely con- <br />cluded that the system is working to our satisfaction. <br />Police Car: One bid was received from Deacon Chrysler- <br />Plymouth Co. for a 1972 Plymouth for X3,687.00, less trade- <br />in of X600.00 for a 1969 Pontiac, net price ~u3,087.00. <br />IUIr. Relic reported a phoned-in bid from LaTour Olds- <br />mobile of 53,542.00 including the 1969 Pontiac trade-in. <br />Discussion followed and it was agreed by council to adverb <br />tine for 2 separate bids, one to buy a new police car with <br />out a trade-in and the other to advertise to sell the 19b9 <br />Pontiac on the open market. Nir. Fitz-Gerald, seconded by <br />i~Ir. Boger, made a motion to reject the bids and readvertise <br />for the police car.
