3/16/87 <br />42 Page 2 <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Re.view Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board was not required <br />to meet, their riext meeting will be held March 26. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said the Board met March ll. They granted <br />a variance on a cul-de-sac lot on Deepwood. Mr. Amendola explained why the <br />variance was needed. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler said the Commission met on March 26. <br />Howard Schulz was elected Chairman; Shiela Hanus, Secretary; Roq Olsen, <br />Vice Chairman. The Committee is in-the process of resuming the activities <br />which had been suspended for about six weeks. The Card Group resumed on <br />March 3, and the Craft Group resumed on March 10. <br />Finance - Mr. Petschauer said no meeting was held this evening because he <br />and Mr. Goley were the only C.ommittee members present. Mr. Petschauer said <br />he would like the C1erk of Council to attach the.agenda for the meeting to <br />t'hese minutes. " <br />Hillcrest Couricil of C.ouncils.- Mr. Petschauer said their next meeting will <br />be held on March 25 at.South Euclid. The subject of the meeting will be <br />chemical abuse. , <br />Mr. Feneli arrived at this time (8:.07.p.m.) <br />M.A.R.C. -.Mr. Etzl'er said tHey met on the first Thursday in March. <br />Discussion. was held regarding a baseball program for older children. <br />They decided against the program since it would duplicate programs that <br />exist in the.cities that M.A.R.C. represents. They are also in the <br />process of cheeking the availability of the community room for their <br />annual art show. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said the committee did not meet due <br />to the death of Dale Feneli's wife. 'Mr. Feneli will include information in <br />Council's Frid.ay packet, and the meeting will be rescheduled. <br />Planning an.d Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission met March 2. A lot <br />split and a proposed lot split were brought up. Both itetns wil.l be taken <br />up at the workshop meeting on the 19th. <br />Recreation - Mr. P-etschauer reporte(i on..the following.upcoming events: <br />1) Softball Registration - March 18 - 7-8:30 in the Community Room. <br />2) Adult Bowling Night - April 11 <br />3) Lunch with. Easter Bunny-and Egg Hunt - April 18 <br />4) Summer Playground Program ' <br />(See Recreation minutes &flier for additional details.) Mr. Petschauer <br />said the Recreation Committee is presen.tly looking for a Director and Teen <br />Assistant. Resumes may be sent to the Village Hall, c/o Jane Petschauer. <br />He asked the media iaho were present to publicize the events listed above. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Basile said no meeting was held because there was <br />no quorum. <br />Mr. Hovancsek arrived at this time (8:10 p.m.)
