AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First.Reading of Resolution No. 87-31, entitled; "A RESOLUTZON ESTABLISHING <br />TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND COMPENSATION FOR THE SERVICES OF THE PROSECUTOR AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded.by Mr. Go1ey, Made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. <br />87-31. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution No. 87-32, entitled; "A RESOLUTION URGING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT <br />TO CONTINUE ITS TEMPORARY EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM." Introduced by <br />Mayor Carmen and Council as a Who1e. <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. <br />87-32. <br />Mr. Goley commented that he has a problem with the criteria used in other <br />communities to qualify for the emergency assistance program. He does not <br />feel that because a person is receiving social security that that should <br />automatically indicate their need for assistance. <br />Mr. Etzler said he thinks the.program may not have been handled properly <br />in all communities. To qualify for the program, a certain income level <br />must be met. Persons receiving sociai security must show proof -of income; <br />tHey do not automatically receive supplies because they receive social <br />security. . <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None - Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution No. 87-33, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE MONTH QF <br />APRIL AS FAIR HOUSING MONTH." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Members of <br />Council.
