`??+ <br />Special Council Meeting <br />4/29/91 <br />Page Six <br />Mr. Rinker asked the Clerk of Council to schedule a Special Council Meeting on May 6, 1991, at <br />8 p.m. to consider this request for Special Use Permit. <br />Mr. Ramos asked Council if they wanted to take a straw vote. He asked if anyone was opposed to <br />granting the special use permit. <br />No one expressed opposirion. <br />Holidav Inn - si ,gn ordinance compliance - Mr. Basile said the Holiday Inn has requested a variance <br />for two signs. <br />Mr. Rinker asked how many total requests they will be discussing regarding sign ordinance <br />compliance. <br />Mr. Amendola said three (Heinen's, Holiday Inn, and Home Federal.) <br />Mr. Ramos explained the procedure Council has set up is that these requests go to the Planning and <br />Zoning Comuussion first. <br />Mr. Amendola said the question is the time. If you can take care of these three this time there could <br />be eight to consider next time. <br />These will be discussed at Caucus. <br />ANY OTBER MATTER TO COME BEFORE COUNCII. <br />Mr. Amendola said he was notified by the Recreation Coordinator that they want the Service <br />Department to take care of the fields for the ball diamonds. He said they do not have the equipment <br />to take care of the fields. One item that he had asked for in his budget is instrumental in handling <br />the dragging of the fields. It is $400. Another item is a John Deere transport. Mr. Amendola said <br />he has obtained three competitive prices on this equipment. Chardon All Seasons has the lowest <br />price in the amount of $4,534. He would like to get this equipment. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if Mr. Amendola felt his department could handle this. <br />Mr. Amendola said yes, they must cut the grass anyway. <br />Discussion was held regarding whether these items should come out of the Recreation Board's <br />budget. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Pietrafese, made a morion to accept an informal bid from Chardon All <br />Seasons for the purchase of a 6-wheel John Deere Tractor in an amount not to exceed $4,534. <br />ROLL CALI.: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize the expenditure not to exceed <br />$400 for the equipment to drag the fields.
