li3
NIINiJTES OF A SPECIAL MEETIlVG OF COUNCIL
Mayfield Village
June 26, 1991
The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Wednesday, June 26, 1991, at seven-
thirty (7:30 p.m.) in the Council Chambers at Village Hall. Council President Bruce Rinker
presided.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fenante, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills,
Mr. Pietrafese (7:42 p.m.), and Mr. Rinker '
Absent: None
Also Present Were: Mayor Carmen, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Ramos, and Miss Heath
Mr. Rinker said the items before Council aze concerning Village Trails.
Mr. Ramos said in relarion to Village Trails, there are six resolutions to be adopted by Council. All
relate to Subdivisions One and Two. First is the acceptance of the final plat for Subdivisions One
and Two. The plat has been reviewed by the Village Engineer and all plans have been submitted
in compliance with the code. The next two resolutions are to accept an easement for the installation
of water mains in Subdivisions One and Two, and the following two resolutions are regarding the
improvement plan which was also approved by Mr. Hovancsek. Mr. Ramos said there is a third
Subdivision that is mostly contained in Gates Mills. Council will need to act on that; however, it is
his understanding that final approval has not been given by Mr. Hovancsek.
Mr. Hovancsek explained that he has given approval on Subdivision No. 3 but has not gotten
Gates Mills' approval yet. He said he would prefer Council not approve it before Gates Mills has
given their approval.
Mr. Marino (in the audience) said that he just came from the Gates Mills meering. There are three
minor items on the plat that must be taken care of. He said Gates Mills indicated they will give
approval at their July 9 meeting after these items have been taken care o£ He cited the items: 1)
To note on the plat that the homeowners understand their portion of the road is a private road;
2) Include the Homeowners Associarion on the plat; 3)They need a copy of their letter on financial
guarantee.
Mr. Hovancsek suggested that Council approve the Subdivision contingent upon approval by
Gates Mills.
Mayor Carmen suggested this item be placed on the Special Meering agenda; it could probably be
acted on at that meeting. He said the Village could probably pass the legislarion tonight
conringent on their passing it but they may as well have a hard copy in front of them and pass it at
the Special Meering.
Mr. Ramos said regarding Subdivision #3, only parts of three small parcels are in Mayfield
Village.
Mr. Rinker asked if there were any other preliminary questions. (Mr. Hovancsek left the meeting at
this time. (7:40 p.m.)
