147 <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCII. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mayfield Village <br />August 14, 1991 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Wednesday, August 14, 1991, at <br />seven-thirty a.m. (7:30 a.m.) in the Council Chambers at the Mayf'ield Village Hall. Council <br />President Bruce Rinker presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Pietrafese, and <br />Mr. Rinker <br />Absent: Mr. Basile, Mr. Flynn <br />Also Present Were: W. Ramos, Mr. Smoltz from Steve Hovancsek's Office, and Miss Heath <br />Mr. Ramos explained that the Special Meeting was called regarding Resolutions 91-71, 91-72, and <br />91-73 which authorize the Mayor to apply for Issue 2 monies for several different projects. He <br />explained that we need to pass resolutions in order to submit the applications for the Issue 2 <br />monies. He said the fourth item was eliminated from the list for some reason and asked Mr. <br />Smoltz from Mr. Hovancsek's office if he knew why. <br />Mr. Smoltz said he did not know why the fourth item was not included. <br />First Readina of Resolurion No. 91-71, entitled; "A resolution authorizing the Mayor to apply for <br />Issue 2 financial assistance through Cuyahoga County for the improvements to the Metro Parks <br />storm sewer and declaring an emergency." Introduced by Mayor Cannen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Fenante, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a morion to adopt Resolution No. 91-71. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Cazried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Readini z of Resolution No. 91-72, enrided; "A resolution authorizing the Mayor to apply for <br />Issue 2 financial assistance through Cuyahoga County for the establishment of the Upper Forty <br />detention facility and declaring an emergency." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a <br />Whole.
