228 <br />Mr. Ramos explained Chapter 131 of the Codified Ordinances regarding the Community <br />12oom Committee, the Village Days Committee, and the Citizen's Advisory Committee. He <br />said if Council wishes to act on this tonight, he can read what Section 131.07 of the <br />Codified Ordinances will say. <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />12/16/91 <br />Page Eight <br />Mr. Rinker aslced if there was a motion to suspend the rules. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three sepazate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 91-59. <br />Mr. Pietrafese explained the purpose of the Community Development Committee is to be a <br />forerunner for any new development that would be interested in coming into the area. <br />Mrs. Cinco said she wants to see the parameters of what she is voting on for a new <br />committee and what their capaciry will be in writing before she will vote on such a <br />committee; it may be too powerful.. <br />Mr. Rinker said that no committee would be empowered to make more than a <br />recommendation to Council. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mrs. Mills said she thinks it could be dangerous and needs to think about it. <br />Mr. Rinker recommended this issue not be voted on this evening. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Fenante, withdrew their motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions regazding Ordinance <br />No. 91-59. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Flynn, withdrew theu motion to enact Ordinance No. 91-59. <br />Ordinance No. 91-59 to remain on first reading. <br />ltesolurion No. 91-94, entitled; "A resolution authorizing and directing the Chief of Police <br />and Law Director to amend the agreement of the Cuyahoga County Planof Cooperation <br />regarding child abuse and neglect and declaring an emergency.", Introduced by Mayor <br />Cannen and Council as a Whole. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a morion to adopt Resolution No. 91-94. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />
