Center Road and declaring an emergency." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROI.L CALL: AYES: Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Pietrafese, and Mr. Rinker <br />NAYS: Mr. Basile Morion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 91-55. <br />Mr. Basile said we have an ordinance and we have made everyone change their signs to <br />comply with our ordinance. They refuse to change to our ordinance. He explained their <br />proposal. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-1 to grant the variance. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Pietrafese, and Mr. Rinker <br />NAYS: Mr. Basile Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Readina of Ordinance No. 91-56, entitled; "An ordinance enacting Chapter 1375 of <br />the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village,,Ohio, pertaining to the prevenrion of flood <br />damage by adopting minimum floodplain management requirements in order to maintain <br />eligibility in the National Flood Insurance Program, repealing existing Chapter 1375 and all <br />ordinances inconsistent herewith and declaring an emergency." Introduced by Mayor <br />Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 91-56. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the Ohio Department of Natural Resources reviewed the flood <br />protection regulations and indicated we have deficiencies in our Codified Ordinances. They <br />have indicated the areas and what needs to be changed. He passed the information onto <br />Fred Ramos. He feels it is important to have this legislation passed and put into our <br />Codified Ordinances so we will be in compliance with their regulations. Mr. Hovancsek <br />explained the difficulries that could occur if this is not passed. He said a copy of the flood <br />plans and map is maintained here at Village Hall; Gus has a copy, and he has a copy. <br />I <br />?_ <br />I I <br />? <br />
