1 MINUTES OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETIlNG OF COUNCIL MAYFIELD VILLAGE JANLTARY 3,1994 The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Monday, January 3,1994, at eight o'clock p.m. (8 p.m.) in the Council Chambers at Village Hall. Mrs. Cinco opened the meeting. ROLL CALL: Present: Santo Basile, Council-elect Vince Busa, Council-elect Joanne ? Cinco, Council-elect Wallace Ferrante, Mark Fixler, Lawrence Flynn, and Council-elect Robert Stephens co _ < Absent: None z ? Also Present Were: Mayor-elect Bruce Rinker, Building Commissioner/Service Director Gus Amendola, Finance Director Phil Brett, Engineer Tom Cappello, Law Director Joseph Diemert, Engineer Stephen Hovancsek, Fire Chief Mohr, Police Chief Stevens, and Clerk of Council Donna Heath. Mrs. Cinco said at this time Mr. Diemert will administer the oath of office to Bruce Rinker for a 2-year term. Mayor: Bruce G. Rinker 2-year term Mr. Diemert administered the oath of office to Bruce G. Rinker as Mayor for a two-year term (to complete the unexpired term of former Mayor Blase Pietrafese.) Mayor Rinker said today he has learned that Bernie Samac will be coming on as our Building Commissioner with the approval of Council. He was pleased to learn that he will serve. Mayor Rinker said Cpuncil has a lot of business to take care of. He welcomed and thanked Council for their involvement in the community. He looks forward to working with them and he hopes their experience working with Mayfield Village will be rewarding. Mayor Rinker said several Council members are returning; there is one new representative. He said there is a good mix of old and new voices and faces. He hope we have a prosperous new year.
